The Good
Ricardo Pepi scored a goal in Groningen’s 1-1 draw with Go Ahead Eagles but it wasn’t enough to save them from relegation into the Dutch 2nd division. Pepi’s goal raised his total goal+assist tally on the year to 15, the youngest player to reach 15 goal contributions for Groningen since Luis Suarez.

Reggie Cannon may have had the best weekend of USMNT abroad registering an excellent 7.7 rating as his Portuguese side Boavista won 1-0.
Mark McKenzie scored a goal for Genk but that was the only goal the team would score as they fell 2-1 to Antwerp where Sam Vines is still making a recovery from injury.
Rokas Pukstas started and had an assist in Hajduk Split’s 3-0 victory. Earlier in the week Split’s manager stated they would not release Pukstas for the U20 World Cup later this month.
The Neutral
Joe Scally came off the bench in extratime as Gladbach defeated bottom-dwellers Bochum 2-0.
Weston McKennie played 90 lost 2-1 to Man City. Header chance saved by Ederson. Showed well otherwise.
Taylor Booth started and played 75’ for Utrecht in their 3-0 victory and he was able to showcase a lot of the reason why the club is hoping to sell him for upwards of $12m this summer. I wrote about that in the Friday TL;DR
Haji Wright plays 90’ but isn’t able to score in Antalyaspor’s 3-1 loss to Turkish giants Besiktas.
Paxten Aaronson seems to be the preferred super sub for Frankfurt as he got the full 2nd half to show his stuff but they fall 3-1 to the suddenly inform Hoffenheim coached by American Pellegrino Matarazzo. John Brooks played a critical part in Hoffenheim’s defense and has lead their charge up the table since his transfer from Benfica.
Tanner Tessman and Gianluca Busio are still miring in Serie B with Venezia but Tessman has been showing quality week in and week out for the Italian club. Tessman has been instrumental in pulling Venezia out of the relegation battle and amazingly they sit level on points with the promotion playoff spot.
The Bad
Brenden Aaronson had a 10 minute cameo but couldn’t make any magic happen. Had a nice turn to receive a pass and get out of pressure but his cross-field switch was a little too heavy to spring the counter.
Jordan Pefok came on for the last 20 minutes as Union Berlin continue chasing European places in the Bundesliga but can’t make anything happen as his club falls to Augsburg 1-0
Timothy Weah played 30’ for Lille in their loss to potential USMNTer Folarin Balogun’s Reims.
Djordje Mihailovic got time off the bench but couldn’t produce a goal or assist in Alkmaar’s impressive 0-0 draw with Ajax.
Kevin Paredes played and showed well in a full second half 45’ appearance but ultimately Wolfsburg couldn’t get out from their abysmal first half showing against Dortmund. Gio Reyna got a 20 minute runout for the winners as Dortmund won 6-0.
Erik Palmer-Brown (EPB) had a tough showing against PSG as Troyes fell 3-1 to the French giants. EPB started and played the full match.
Bryan Reynolds started and played 75’ in Westerlo’s 5-3 loss. He received a yellow card and when he was substituted off his team was down 5-1. Not his best showing.
Alex Mendez saw 15’ at the end of Vizela’s 3-0 loss to Vitoria de Guimaraes.
The Ugly
Christian Pulisic made the bench but did not see the pitch in Frank Lampard’s first win since returning to Chelsea.
Gaga Slonina traveled with team but not on squad sheet.
Tyler Adams is still injured.
Chris Richards made the bench but did not feature for Crystal Palace.
Sergino Dest did not make the gameday squad for AC Milan
Matthew Hoppe made an appearance for Hibernian. Literally… he just appeared shortly as he came off the bench at 90’.
Matt Turner was on the bench for Arsenal as they took a huge 3 points from Newcastle away to keep the title race competitive in the Premier League.
Lots of Americans in play Monday as the Championship “decision day” kicks off at 10am ET make sure to tune in!
CCV was out injured (for the rest of the season) in Celtic's 2-0 win over Hearts. Celtic are now back-to-back SPL champions, and will win the treble in a month in the Scottish Cup over Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
Malik Tillman was out injured in Rangers win over Aberdeen.
