I'm thrilled that Messi is coming to MLS. It's a bit of nitro added to the fuel of MLS growth. With the 2026 World Cup not too far off, soccer is going to get more and more exposure in the upcoming months. This is a great way to kickstart that exposure.

I know that MLS is not nearly ready to get Haaland or Saka (a young superstar), but I wish it could start getting players like Johnathan David or Folarin Balogun or Lois Openda: young players on the verge of superstardom. As I said, Messi's coming to MLS is great, but watching Messi walk around a sweltering Miami pitch isn't exciting.
